I have finally discovered Agnes Alberda’s Dutch roots! Thanks to Glenn’s recollection of his mother mentioning Groningen (Netherlands) as the birthplace of her parents, I was able to find a birth record on the Genlias database, which provided the names of her parents. That led me to an extensive family tree for the descendants of Jan Feikes (born c. 1700,) Agnes’ great-great-great grandfather.
Here is a translation of the new information that directly pertains to Agnes’ lineage.
Here is Glenn’s record of his mother’s family.
**UPDATE: According to the Genlias link, the Genlias website is offline as of January 1, 2013. The role of national genealogical platform has been taken over by the website WieWasWie. I have not looked at the new site, yet.

The link to Jan Feikes on my website is no longer correct, since I have added an English section to my site.
