Gladys E. Hine, 93, joined her husband, Rev. Orville J. Hine, on Sunday, October 4, 2009. She was also predeceased by her first husband, Karl Paul Gustafson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Maureen Gustafson; daughter, Jean Rosenberg; and son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Janie Gustafson; grandchildren, Daniel, Carrie, Derek and Andrew; great-grandchildren, William and Thia Maria. She was a longtime active member of the Broad Avenue Presbyterian Church. Her community at Good Shepherd Fairview Home was very important to her as she enjoyed her last years there. Prior to that she spent 20 wonderfully peaceful years with Orvil at Hine’s Pine’s Christmas Tree Farm in Afton, NY. She was spirited and spiritual. She journeys home with the loving support of her family.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, October 11, 2009, 1:00 p.m., at the Broad Avenue Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, those wishing kindly consider memorial contributions to the Good Shepherd Fairview Home, 80 Fairview Ave., Binghamton, NY 13904 or a charity of your choice.
