Jacob de Jong married Geertje Eenigenburg (daughter of Joris Eenigenburg and Trijntje Bouwens) 2 Nov 1834 in Schoorl, Noord-Holland, Netherlands. According to the record he was 26 years old at the time (born about 1808), a farmer by trade, and was born, lived, and worked in Schoorl. Geertje was 24 (born about 1810), also born and lived in Schoorl.
Jacob de Jong’s mother was Maartje Hoogvorst and his father Jan de Jong.
They sailed to the United States in 1849.
