I’ve had a heck of a time finding death records for Martin or Mary Hogan, parents of Owen H. Hogan (1861-1950), or even their death dates. This post will serve as something of a living notebook to collect facts that will hopefully lead me to the right place.

Latest Living Records

Mary: The latest living record I have for Mary is the 1880 US Census, on which she’s recorded twice:

  1. In the Martin Hogan household at 180 Center St, First Ward, Syracuse.
  2. On a Defective, Dependent, and Delinquent Schedule for inmates at the Onondaga County Insane Asylum.

  • Indexes start in June 1880 for deaths and 1881 for marriages and births.
